The Defense Affairs Committee (DAC) of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce presents the annual Our Community Salutes of the Greater Charlottesville Area  at Lane Auditorium in the Albemarle County Office Building. This is the Annual High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony to honor its Class of 2025 high school seniors and their families on May 3, 2025 beginning at 10 AM.

Our 2025 featured speakers will be former Navy SEAL John McGuire who is currently serving his first term in the House of Representatives representing Virginia’s 5th Congressional District.

There is no cost to attend this event (in fact, there will be a free raffle with prizes for attendees!).  Local businesses and individuals are underwriting the entire cost of the ceremony in honor of our Class of 2025 high school enlistees who have made the selfless decision to serve our country.

We ask that as many members of the local community plan to attend and support these young patriots as they rise to the challenge of serving our great nation.  Please bring family and friends!  

Important Message For Our Event!

Tomorrow is the big day! Recruits, please plan to arrive No Later Than 9:30am on Saturday morning. We will go over where to stand/walk/sit before the ceremony kicks off at 10:00.

Remember (unless your recruiter has arranged an earlier/different link-up place), the location is the Albemarle County office building (401 McIntire Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22902), and I have included an overhead image below for reference just in case this will be your first visit. Yellow arrows indicate parking lot entrances from McIntire Road, the green arrow indicates the main entrance doors, and the blue lines indicate visitor parking.
