Our Community Salutes of Connecticut will host its Inaugural High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony to honor the Class of 2024 high school seniors and their families on May 18, 2024.
Doors open for check-in at 9:00am.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00am.
Speakers, to date, include
- Major General Fran Evon, The Adjutant General, Connecticut Military Department
- Brigadier General Ron Welch (USA, Ret.), Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs
- Command Master Chief Gary Stephenson, Naval Submarine Base, New London
- Master of Ceremonies: Renee DiNino, Director of Community Affairs & On-Air Programming for iHeartMedia in Connecticut, the midday host on The River 105.9, and host of an hour-long syndicated talk show on all 10 CT iHeartRadio stations.
Music is provided by the 102nd Army Band, the official band of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
There is no cost to attend this event. Local businesses and individuals are underwriting the entire cost of the ceremony in honor of our Class of 2024 high school enlistees who have made the selfless decision to serve our country.
Suggested dress attire is business or business casual. Everyone must register to attend the event.
