About the Ceremony

Our Community Salutes of Fayetteville hosted its Annual Enlistee Recognition Ceremony honoring the Class of 2024 high school seniors and their families on May 1, 2024.

Speakers included:

  • The Honorable Robert Wilkie, 10th Secretary of Veterans Affairs
  • Command Sergeant Major Bryan Barker, 18th Airborne Corps
  • Major General Colin P. Tuley, Deputy Commanding General, 18th Airborne Corps
  • Master of Ceremonies: Gilbert Baez, U.S. Army Veteran and WRAL Emmy Award-winning journalist covering Fayetteville, Ft Liberty, and surrounding areas for more than three decades.

Music was provided by the 82nd Airborne Division "All-American" Band and Chorus.
