Chief Master Sgt. Robert S. Ferguson Chief Master Sgt. Robert S. Ferguson is Command Chief, 111th Attack Wing, Pennsylvania Air National Guard, located at Biddle Air National Guard Base, Horsham, Pa. As the Command Chief, he reports directly to the Wing Commander on enlisted personnel issues to include the following: professional military education, enlisted promotions, mentorship, morale, family, community relations and esprit de corps. He acts as the conduit for information flow between commanders and enlisted personnel, ensuring enlisted members understand the commander’s policies, goals and objectives. Chief Master Sgt. Ferguson is the adviser to wing boards such as the Chief’s Council, First Sergeant’s Council, Rising Six and Top-3.
Chief Master Sgt. Ferguson entered the New York Air National Guard in January of 1999 as a Security Forces Apprentice. His vast experience in the Security Forces career field ranges from installation entry controller, to Security Forces Manager. The majority of his career has been spent in Security Forces with the exception of a three year assignment as the Inspections Superintendent and Noncommissioned Officer of Complaints Resolution for the 105th Airlift Wing’s Inspector General Office.
Chief Ferguson has deployed multiple times in support of both Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to assuming his current position, Chief Master Sgt. Ferguson was the Security Forces Manager assigned to the 111th Security Forces Squadron, Biddle Air National Guard Base, Horsham, Pa.
Command Sergeant Major Sheldon Gray is the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the 3rd Battalion, 108th Regiment, 5th Brigade (Signal Corps), 102nd Division (Maneuver Support), a position established to influence professional development and advise the Command on all enlisted matters. CSM Gray was selected to serve in this position as of July 1, 2017.
CSM Gray's assignments include: Tactical Communications Systems Operator and Mechanic, Driver, Tank Mechanic, Communications Chief, Tactical Operations Center Chief and Squad Leader in 3rd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment and HHC Divarity, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO; Platoon Leader and Communications Chief in the 550th MI Battalion, Pedricktown, NJ; Drill Sergeant and Senior Drill Sergeant in the 2nd Battalion, 417th Training Brigade, 98th Division, Rochester, NY; S6 Senior Advisor, Instructor, Contract Administrator, and Security in MNSTC-I, Baghdad, Iraq; Director (DOIM), First Sergeant in 1079th Garrison Support Unit, JBMDL, Fort Dix, NJ; Course Manager, Instructor, Operations Sergeant, Schoolhouse SGM and Acting Command Sergeant Major in the 3rd Battalion, 80th Regiment, 2nd Brigade(SC), 100th Division(LD), Ft Knox, KY and Director of Instruction (DOI) in the 3rd Battalion, 80th Regiment Detachment 1, Cranston, RI where he persistently influenced professional growth through the TASS Leaders Course and inspiring key broadening roles for Senior Leaders. Command Sergeant Major Gray has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom III & IV, Operation Reforger, National Training Center and Warrior Training Exercises and funded multiple OCONUS deployments and CONUS short tours.
