About the Ceremony

Our Community Salutes of Pittsburgh hosted its annual Enlistee Recognition Ceremony honoring the Class of 2024 high school seniors and their families on April 15, 2024.

Speakers included:

  • Brigadier General John Rhodes, Commanding General, 316 Sustainment Command (Expeditionary)
  • Colonel Raymond Hyland Jr., Commander, 171st Air Refueling Wing, Pennsylvania Air National Guard
  • Command Sergeant Major Paul Fluharty, 15th Command Sergeant Major of the Field Artillery and U.S. Army Field Artillery School
  • Master of Ceremonies: Larry Richert, " The Voice of Pittsburgh." Larry is the morning radio show host for Pittsburgh's KDKA Radio, the voice of NFL Films/Pittsburgh Steelers Highlights, the Public Address Announcer at Heinz Field for the Steelers, and part of the Pitt Panthers Football Network Broadcast Team.
