The 2nd Annual Our Community Salutes High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony of Austin, TX to honor the Class of 2021 high school seniors and their parents/guardians who plan to enlist into the military, will be held on Tuesday May 18, 2021 through an online stream, from 7:00PM to 8:00PM CST
Our 2021 featured speakers include:
- Emcee, Ms. Bonnie Vona, Blue Star Mother
- Capt. Mitch Fuller (US Army Ret'd), Director of Governmental & Public Affairs - VFW
- Mrs. Teri Reid, President, WilCo Blue Star Mothers
- Lt General Scott Dingle, 45th Surgeon General of the US Army and Commanding General, US Army Medical Command
- CSM Diamond Hough, US Army Medcom
- Congressman John Rice Carter
Due to anticipated COVID restrictions we will broadcast the ceremony live on Zoom.
Instructions on how to participate in the Live virtual ceremony will be emailed to all registered guests at a later date.
All guest must register for the Ceremony by: April 23, 2021
OCS Greater Austin Area is also hosting a LIVE EVENT on Wednesday May 19 at Camp Mabry Parade Grounds.
Facility opens at 4:30 PM. The Army National Guard Band ill provide the evening's music. Light refreshments will be provided. Sponsors are hosting tables to visit.
Ceremony begins at 6:15 with Recruit Processional.
