Our Community Salutes of Colorado Springs hosted its annual Enlistee Recognition Ceremony honoring the Class of 2024 high school seniors and their families on May 2, 2024.

Speakers included:

• General Stephen Whiting, Commander, United States Space Command
• Brigadier General Mark Richey, Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Eighth Air Force, and Commander, Joint-Global Strike Operations Center, Barksdale Air Force Base
• Mr. Stan VanderWerf, El Paso County Commissioner, District 3
• Mr. Tom Walker, National Defense Industrial Association, Rocky Mountain Chapter President
• Master of Ceremonies: Alan Rose, Award-winning on-air meteorologist for News5 Today in Colorado Springs

Music was provided by the 4th Infantry Division Army Band from Ft Carson, CO.

The National Anthem was performed by Technical Sergeant Denver Murphy and The USAF Academy Band

The Invocation was led by Chaplain Tamer Sayedahmed, US Air Force

Honor Guard: Doherty High School Navy Jr ROTC, under the direction of CAPTAIN Greg Thomas

Mounted Color Guard: Ranger Rider Pivots
