2025 High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony

About the Ceremony

Our Community Salutes of Los Angeles will host its Inaugural High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony to honor its Class of 2025 high school seniors and their families on May 3, 2025.

Everyone must register to attend the event.

Doors open for check-in at 9:00am

The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00am

Speakers will include:

  • Rear Admiral Robert Nowakowski, Deputy Commander of Naval Education and Training Command
  • Command Sergeant Major Joe Derma, State Command Sergeant Major, California Army National Guard
  • Command Sergeant Major Michele Jones (USA, Ret.)
  • Master of Ceremonies: Mario A. Guerra, Civilian Secretary of the Army and former Mayor of Downey, CA

There is no cost to attend this event. Local businesses and individuals are underwriting the entire cost of the ceremony in honor of our Class of 2025 high school enlistees who have made the selfless decision to serve our country.

Suggested dress attire is business or business casual.

PLEASE NOTE!

Parking is LIMITED in the Theater Lot

Please expect to drop off any guests that cannot walk from the parking garage, see below.

We have secured more parking at the LA Trade Tech Community College, however, the lot they have available is a 10 minute walk to the Theater.

Use the following Google Map links to find the Theater on Figueroa St and the Parking Garage on Olive St.
